LSU fans are probably split in their personal opinion of Democratic politico James Carville.

OK, a lot of conservative LSU fans certainly have very strong opinions of Carville and his political stance. One thing you can't take issue with, though, is his love for LSU and his passion for LSU football.

There was a pretty entertaining moment Saturday after the LSU game. As the media and masses of LSU fans from the club level were waiting to get down the elevators after the Tigers' 27-21 overtime loss to Alabama, an LSU fan spotted Carville in his Mardi Gras-striped shirt.

"Hey, James," the fan said, "I see your guy wants to spread the wealth." "Your guy" of course being President-elect Obama. It was a decent bet by the LSU fans tone that he did not vote for the Democratic candidate on Nov. 4.

Carville's week started well with Obama's election on Tuesday, but obviously he was a tad grumpy after the way the Tigers had just lost and not to be trifled with.

"Maybe you ain't been keeping up," Carville shot back. "There ain't no wealth left to spread around."

Carville, by the way, moved to New Orleans from the Washington, D.C., area earlier this year.
